First Alert Weather: Cooler air to stay over Western Wisconsin for a part of the week
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - Much of this month has been above average in the 60s, 70s and even the 80s. In fact, we saw just shy of 2 weeks in a row of the warmer weather. Cooler air has moved in and will be sticking around for the next few days.
We’ve been stuck in the clouds after the departure of a low-pressure system, but things will slowly be changing. After starting off the day with clouds across the area, an area of high pressure will slowly begin to allow clouds to clear out in the afternoon and evening. With that, temperatures will be slightly warmer in the upper 50s for daytime highs. Clearing will persist into the overnight, and that will allow for temperatures to fall more than Saturday night. With the clearing skies and temperatures in the 30s, there is a chance we could get in on some frost. The only thing hindering that would be our winds which are slowly going to be picking up later today.
