Crown prize money split evenly among Nebraska Men’s Basketball players
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Nebraska Men’s Basketball team won the inaugural College Basketball Crown. Along with it, the Huskers earned $300,000 in NIL money.
Nebraska head coach Fred Hoiberg said the prize money will be split evenly across the Huskers’ 2024-25 roster. Coaches will not receive any of the purse.
Nebraska capped its 4-0 week in Las Vegas with a come-from-behind 77-66 win over Central Florida on Sunday. Following the victory, players, coaches, and administrators took a series of pictures with the Crown trophy. They also posed for photos in a giant king’s chair that tournament officials placed on the court.
